Seriously, though. At the federal level, that kind of spending is ignored. Not that it’s right – it’s just how it goes. Travelgate didn’t last in the media but a couple stories. . .

But unfortunately that’s common for all governers to take a few extra job perks and then hide them in paperwork. It is generally ignored.
(Although, I’m sure the tax payers of Alaska aren’t too happy with that.)
That kind of personal spending would not be acceptable in a VP position- especially in this economy. Eyes will be on the VP’s and POTUS , and neither better get caught with their hand in the cookie jar!
I actually wanted to be supportive of Sarah Palin. I’ve watched the VP debate, read the transcripts, I’ve watched her on talk show circuits, visited her website. Researched her role as governor without using bias media sources. But I’ve come to the understanding that I cannot be supportive of her as potential VP– she is just lacking across the board to me in ethics, mannerism and political platform.

VP’s only get 250k, so the kids will just have to wear moose hides and tough it out like real americans. I don’t see VP in her future I see TV, a centerfold spread in Fascism Today magazine, maybe even adult pay-per-view.
Who cares? All government people use our tax money for this kind of thing..yes, even the freaking dems, so its irrelevent really. If I were vp, my kids would go wherever I go too. Seems the dems would rather leave their kids at home. Wonder why?
From what I’m watching on CNN she may not have to pay much because the GOP or NRA is giving her and her family all new clothes to campaign. But flights and luxury hotels? You sure about that?
You mean to tell me that she spent over $150,000.00 on those frumpy outfits ?
