By law, how old do you have to be to rent a hotel room in Florida?

Also, is there a difference in age requirements between hotels and motels? As ridiculous as it sounds, I’ve heard it before on a few occasions.

  1. Most hotels are 18 but around holidays and prom season they require at least one person to be 21. Make sure you have a drivers license or military id and a credit card they wont accept any debit cards.

  2. I looked over the age requirements for a wide number of Florida motel/hotel’s and they all seemed to vary between a check-in age of either 18 or 25. I suppose different chains have different policies. You’ll have to check with your particular hotel to find out what their age limit is.
